Hi there fellow artists and movers of paint.

Tuscany beckons for a Spring experience with the verdant colours of spring and early summer evident in the Tuscan Hills.

The plan is to depart from Toronto on May 8th and return on the 19th of May.

We stay in a medieval village now called Fattoria San Donato that is filled with old world charm and colour where they have vineyards, artichoke plantations, olive groves and saffron. I saw my first lemon on a tree there. The morning view across the valley is the ancient multi towered city of San Gimignano.

It’s a painters trip with all comers welcome to work in oils, acrylics or watercolors. I am an oil painter but know my way around acrylics and some experience with watercolour. Non- painting partners are welcome. We have had them on every trip.

Painting outside, en plein air is such a wonderful experience. You learn to see all over again but as a painter seeking to express your vision in a way that speaks to the moment. There is nothing like it. We learn process and composition and colour. Daily demos, critiques and shared experiences are all part of that component.

With 2 large, 9 passenger tour vans, Michaela and I escort you to an Etruscan fortress, stunning architecture and villages, Florence and Sienna and much more…

Let me know if that’s of interest to you and I will send you the full itinerary with the trip cost.

We aim to provide a wonderful experience with all of the necessaries taken care of and enough flexibility to accommodate everyone

    Kind regards,

    John

Hi John. This sounds amazing.  I'd love to join you but will be in Iceland on the 17th-23rd.  Hopefully another time.
